Treeplast® is natural, renewable and biodegradable material made from wood chips (50%), with crushed corn and natural resins. Treeplast® does not contain any plastics, however, in granulate form it can be injection moulded to form products with no shape restrictions, the accuracy of injection moulding and the look and feel of wood. It comes a range of different versions including fully biodegradable and water-resistant. It can be finished like wood and has comparable properties to MDF. Its natural appearance provides an interesting communication mechanism. Treeplast can also be extruded to make granulates, which can subsequently be processed in traditional plastic-processing machines, providing an interesting alternative for plastics producers.
